Let’s be honest from the start; we actually robbed FAC383. Factory Records (as was) had been gone fifteen years anyway so the Vikings agreed to simply snatch FAC383 for our own gains. And who was going to argue? Factory itself had risen again in various guises, but none of these ever lasted, and we felt the Vikings were as deserving of a FAC number as some of the earlier recipients: a cat, a lawsuit, a hairdressing salon, Rob Gretton’s dental work, even a menstrual egg timer!
